About Us
To encourage and promote the Spanish Language, together with all aspects of the Spanish culture and of the Spanish-speaking countries. To encourage and foster friendships between persons of Anglo and Hispanic origin.
It is a club which is open to anyone who supports our objectives. You can just come along to a meeting or else join as a member. The Anglo-Hispano Club Taunton provides a friendly setting for those interested in furthering their interest in all aspects of the Spanish and Latin American way of life and offers encouragement and practical help to those who wish to improve their knowledge and expertise of the Spanish language.
Club Meetings
The Anglo Hispano Club is a not for profit organisation, but we have costs such as hiring the hall and providing refreshments to create a convivial atmosphere. We cover these costs by charging a small entrance fee to members and guests, and also ask for a contribution for the refreshments.
We hold 9 meetings a year on the evening of the last Thursday of the month. Typically meetings will be centred around a speaker or activity that has some relation to Spanish or Latin American culture or history. Membership
The annual membership subscription fee is £30 (individual) or £50 (joint).
The entrance fee for each event is:
- Members: Free or £5 if there is a speaker.
- Non-members: £5 or £7 if there is a paid speaker.
- Students £3 or £5 if there is a paid speaker.
- Fees may vary if there is an activity. Details will be provided in advance to those subscribed to our mailing list.
- Group and concession rates are available on request.
